Do you have a store I can visit?

Yes! Some TIS stuff is available here. Not all merchandise is there, though. You can always shop online since we’ve made it very safe and easy for you to order.

Why the term ‘Ink’?

Ink is essential for artists. Ink is also what we call the “paints” used in screen printing the shirts. And, frankly, PaintSquad doesn’t sound so nice.

Why do some products say I have to wait a few days until shipment starts?

When a design wins, the staff need lead time for shirt production. We want all Inks to come out awesome and worthy of people’s attention. You can click on “re-ink” on the size you want to get notified the minute we restock.

Is that an octopus I see? Or maybe a squid?

It’s neither octopus nor squid. (Note the single eye and four tentacles.) Although Trina, our resident designer, used the term quadrapod, we had no formal label for it. We just decided to name it “Galgathor”.

What type of shirts do you print with?

  • Guys
    • Softex or Southport shirts.
    • 60% cotton blend.
  • Girls
    • Custom cut
    • 60% cotton blend
    • Note: They were previously Cimbada shirts, which were rayon.

How do you print your shirts?

Screen printing all the way! The design lasts for years.

We’re adding more printing processes, but it’s just screen printing for now.

I’ve submitted my design, and I got multiple emails saying my design was rejected. How come?

Sometimes, users submit an idea more than once, thus the design is duplicated. If the design is rejected, then every duplicate will get a rejection notice, thus the multiple emails. UPDATE: Since then, we’ve cleaned up the way things work a bit, and you shouldn’t run into this problem.

Our tip: just visit your submissions page to update pending submissions.

If I buy in bulk, will you sell it for cheaper?

Now, we do! We’ve had a lot of people from the provinces that have asked. Check out our bulk price page.

How do I submit a design?

Before you submit a design for voting, you have to share your idea with the community. Sharing it first gets you feedback from several community members. It’ll help you get your design on the right track. Be open to constructive criticism. We’re all here for our love of graphic art.

To share an idea with the community, create a new idea. There, you’ll also find links to our Mechanics and Design Pack.

What do I get if I get Inked?

Check out our contest mechanics and see what goodies you’ll get if your design wins.

Does my design need to made on the computer, or can I draw it?

We accept both computer graphics but you can definitely draw it too! Just make sure of these things:

  • Is it sharp? Are the edges clean? Resolution should be 250dpi.
  • Is there shading? If there is, we can’t screen print it. Each color should be solid and separated.
  • Are all colors in separate layers?

One Idea that was drawn by hand and Inked is League of Extraordinary. Since it was one color, the staff just changed the color levels, making the blacks pure black and the whites pure white.

Where can I get your press kit?

See our press page to download stuff you may need.
